Events, The Reformer Room & New Faces

Happy March.

Each month I like to take a moment through Mat Chat to share what’s happening inside the studio — the classes, the community, and the little things that make Long Lean Pilates feel like home.

And this month was a fun one.

After Dark: Our Dance Night

Our March After Dark event was incredibly fun.

Jamie helped us unleash our inner dancer.  What I had completely forgotten about dance classes is the workout you get from them. I personally felt like I was fighting for my life — in the best way possible.

It was one of those nights where you’re laughing, moving, and slightly out of breath all at the same time.

By the end of the evening, the energy in the room was contagious. So contagious, in fact, that everyone asked if we could add this as a regular class.

So… we’re going to try it.

Starting April 1, Jamie will lead a dance class every other Wednesday at 7:40 PM.

Each month she’ll create a routine that we’ll work on and refine over the month, and the following month we’ll start fresh with a brand new routine. And don’t worry if you miss a week — Jamie will always guide the class as if it’s everyone’s first time.

This will also fall on one of our non-heated nights, which means if you're feeling a little ambitious you could absolutely stack classes.

Mat Pilates… then dance.

Honestly, that sounds like a pretty great Wednesday evening.

Pilates & Nutrition After Dark: April 3rd

Our next After Dark event will be led by Cristi, our resident sports nutritionist.

Cristi will guide us through a 45-minute Mat Pilates class, followed by a relaxed nutrition conversation where we can talk about fueling the body, recovery, and making thoughtful food choices.

You’ll be able to ask questions, and Cristi will share insights on how nutrition can shift depending on factors like:

• how often you work out• your goals• and how our nutritional needs evolve over time

She’ll also walk us through healthier choices in a simple “this or that” format, helping us recognize small swaps that can make a meaningful difference.

Friday, April 3rd 6:45 PM

$39

Space for After Dark events is limited, so if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, be sure to reserve your spot.

Reformer Room Update

I officially received word that our reformers are shipping from the Balanced Body workshop in California on March 31st, which means they should arrive about a week after that.

These are the brand new Balanced Body Bravo Reformers, and we will be the first studio in Miami to have them.

Balanced Body took the best elements of two of their most iconic reformers and combined them into the Bravo — creating a machine that is incredibly smooth, supportive, precise, and beautiful.

Our semi-private reformer classes will be taught much like a private session, but in a small group of just three people. The focus will always be on form, alignment, and the individual needs of your body.

A private Pilates session typically runs around $150, but these small group sessions will be $75 per class, offering many of the benefits of a private without the full private price.

To introduce the reformer room, I’ll be offering a limited introductory 5-pack at $65 per class, so you can experience how the reformer complements your mat practice.

If you’ve ever wished for a little more feedback in certain movements, or a way to deepen your strength and control, the reformer is an incredible tool for that.

I can’t wait for you to try them.

Help us Curate the Reformer Schedule

If you missed our recent Instagram poll, we asked what times you’d most like to see for reformer classes and 12 PM and 4 PM were the clear winners of that poll.

Below is a tentative schedule we can begin with

as we launch the reformer room.

But we’d still love your input.

If there’s another time that would work better for you — especially if you and a friend would like to take a class together — click the link below and let us know. We’re actively shaping the schedule based on what works best for our community.

Classes will run with a minimum of two participants, and we’ll continue refining the schedule as we learn what times feel best for everyone.

Help us curate the schedule so it supports your routine.

Spring Teacher Training Begins March 28

Our Spring 2026 Pilates Teacher Training cohort, led by Jamie, begins Saturday, March 28th.

This program runs across four weekends, giving students a deep dive into the Pilates method, movement mechanics, and the art of teaching.

Participants will also receive:

• access to our on-demand library for observation and practice hours• 10 in-studio classes to take during the program

Jamie has done an incredible job shaping our recent trainees into confident, thoughtful instructors, and it’s been amazing to watch their progress.

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a Pilates instructor — or simply want to deepen your understanding of the work — this program is a powerful way to do it.

There are just a few spots left in the cohort.

If it’s been on your mind, this could be your moment.

A New Instructor Joins the Team

Speaking of teacher training, we have a new instructor joining the schedule.

Valentina has just graduated from our most recent teacher training program, and she’ll officially be joining the Long Lean Pilates team.

I observed her classes today and she is absolutely ready. Her instruction was clear, her pacing was thoughtful, the burn was real, and her playlist brought the energy.

It’s always special to watch someone move from student to teacher, and Valentina has really stepped into her voice.

You’ll be able to find her on the schedule starting in April on Wednesday mornings.

Come take her class and introduce yourself. I have a feeling she’s going to be incredible.

 Until Next Month.

Whether I see you on your mat, on a reformer, at Bootcamp, or on the dance floor — I’m so grateful you’re here.

This community continues to grow in ways that feel steady and meaningful. And that’s exactly how I want it.

See you around the studio — and hopefully on April 3rd.
