Community Events & Semi-Private Reformer Class Launch

Happy February.
It’s time for our next Mat Chat — a little letter from me to you about what’s happening inside our Miami Pilates studio and what’s coming next.
February feels lighter. A little more social. A little more playful. And this month, our community really leaned into that.
After Dark: A Night to Remember
Our first After Dark Pilates event was everything I hoped it would be.
Alyssa and Silvia led us through a fun, challenging Mat Pilates class, and afterward we all headed to the bar together. What unfolded from there was exactly why I started these events in the first place.
Friendships were formed. Connections were built. Dinner dates were scheduled. What struck me most was this:
No one set up their phones. No one recorded the night.Everyone was simply present.
And I truly believe that presence is what created the energy in the room. It felt grounded, joyful, and real — the kind of community that makes a Pilates studio feel like home.
March 6th After Dark: Let’s Dance
Our next After Dark event will be led by Jamie — and it’s going to be a dance party.
Yes, a real one.
Jamie will guide us through a fun, lighthearted dance routine followed by snacks and mocktails so we can linger and connect. This isn’t about being perfect. It’s not about choreography mastery. It’s about remembering what it felt like to take dance classes as a kid — carefree, expressive, a little silly, and completely in the moment.
Most of us haven’t danced like that in years.
So let’s bring it back.
If I’m flailing around, I promise I’ll be doing it with a big smile on my face.
📍 Friday, March 6th

Got Friday night plans? No? Me either. Let’s dance!
Big Studio News: Semi-Private Reformer Classes Are Coming
Now for something I’ve been waiting to share.
We are officially adding Semi-Private Reformer classes to the schedule.
We’ve ordered three beautiful, top-of-the-line Balanced Body Bravo Reformers, and I genuinely cannot wait for you to see them. They are elegant, powerful, and built for precision — offering a different kind of feedback than the mat.
The springs can gently guide alignment when something feels unclear, and add resistance when you’re ready to explore more strength. Many clients find that weaving in a semi-private reformer session alongside their mat practice simply deepens their understanding of the work.
Our Reformer Pilates classes will run on a fixed schedule in our private room and will require a minimum of two participants to maintain the integrity of the experience.
You’ll see some of your favorite instructors teaching in the new space — along with a few new faces.
This format offers the luxury of a private session, but in a small group setting. Focused. Intentional. Precise.
We’ll be announcing special intro rates soon.
Stay tuned.
Continuing Education for Instructors — February 28
I’m hosting a Continuing Education Workshop on February 28th for instructors who are certified but not yet fully confident in their voice.
Getting certified is one thing. Feeling grounded and capable in front of a room is another.
This workshop is for those instructors who know the material but still feel unsure — the ones who want clearer sequencing, stronger cueing, and a deeper understanding of how to lead with confidence.
I’m here to help you grow.
There’s something incredibly important to me about supporting teachers beyond certification. The Pilates method deserves instructors who feel steady, thoughtful, and prepared — and sometimes that growth just needs a little refinement and guidance.
If you’re an instructor looking for that next layer of confidence, this workshop is for you.
Spring Teacher Training Begins March 28
Another exciting update — our Spring Pilates Teacher Training begins March 28th.
Jamie will be leading the next group into their Pilates journey, and I couldn’t be more proud of the work she’s doing. Our current teacher training cohort is finishing up this week — their test-outs are happening now — and watching their growth has been incredible.
I’ve popped in throughout the weeks (often with Charlie in tow) to offer support and encouragement, but Jamie is truly taking the lead in shaping these women into thoughtful, skilled instructors.
If you’ve ever wanted to deepen your understanding of the Pilates method — whether to teach or simply to refine your own practice — this program is one of the most transformative ways to do it.
Spots are limited, and enrollment is now open for our March 28 start date.
Welcome to Our New Members
We’ve had several new members join Long Lean Pilates in the past 30 days, and I just want to say — welcome.
Watching our members grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies is one of my favorite parts of running this Pilates studio in Miami.
Consistency is everything in Mat Pilates. Your membership isn’t just access — it’s accountability. It’s structure. It’s commitment to something that supports you long term.
And it works.
Bootcamp Is Back (And I’m Still Sore)
I’m back teaching Bootcamp on Monday mornings at 9:45 AM.
To be honest, I’ve been so busy teaching and building that my own practice has taken a back seat lately. I’ve missed it. And my body has definitely felt that.
Coming back to Bootcamp reminded me why I love it so much.
It’s strength layered into Pilates. Controlled, intentional, but with a little more load. Think 8-pound dumbbells instead of 3s. Circuit-style, grounded, and focused on building real strength.
We had our first one last week and I’m still sore — the good kind. The kind that reminds you you’re using your body fully.
To my old Saturday and Sunday crew who were missing it — I hope I’ll see you on Mondays.
Until Next Month.
Whether I see you on your mat, on a reformer, at Bootcamp, or on the dance floor — I’m so grateful you’re here.
This community continues to grow in ways that feel steady and meaningful. And that’s exactly how I want it.
See you around the studio — and hopefully on March 6th.
